Urbanova is for everyone.
Access is part of how the festival is designed, not an add-on. Here's what we commit to online and on the grounds, and how to tell us what you need.
This website
We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our target. In practice that means:
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus states
- Semantic headings, landmarks and labelled controls for screen readers
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and captions for decorative video
- Colour contrast that meets AA on text and controls
- Animation that respects your reduced-motion setting
- Layouts that reflow from small phones to ultrawide screens without horizontal scrolling

On the grounds
Every Urbanova edition is planned with these in place; specifics are confirmed and published with each edition.
- Accessible parking close to the main gate
- Step-free routes and raised viewing platforms
- Accessible washrooms throughout the grounds
- Companion (support person) access with each approved request
- Trained accessibility staff on site

Tell us what you need, whether that is companion access, viewing, mobility, sensory or anything else, and our accessibility team will make it work for you. Requests for a specific edition are handled once dates are announced, but you're welcome to reach out any time.
